Mary & Graham

A sunny afternoon wedding at the Charleston Yacht Club

Now, I know most of you will feel like you’ve seen this already – mostly because I had posted a blog from Mary & Graham’s engagement photo session! But I promise this is something you’ll want to see!

I mentioned in my last post that Mary was one of my best friends and I couldn’t be more excited and honored to have captured her wedding day. It was so special to see the love Graham and Mary have and how excited each of their families were to welcome their new members!

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting Mary, you’ll know she loves color, she loves her family, and she loves her dog, Comet! We had to make sure we included him (and his cute little tux) in their bride and groom photos! I don’t know that Comet got the significants of the moment, but I’m sure his mom and dad loved having him there to get a quick snuggle in before their wedding started.

We definitely lucked out with the beautiful weather, but I would have to say that Mary and Graham picked an awesome location for their wedding! We spent time before the ceremony at a gorgeous house on the Charleston Battery in the garden and on their large wrap around porch. Then we moved to their ceremony location, the Charleston Yacht Club, where we were right on the water for the entire ceremony. There were so many people there to witness their commitment to one another that all the seats were full – talk about having a village!! The florals cascaded over the arch where they said their vows and the sounds of water lapping up on the shore provided beautiful backgrounds sounds to a beautiful display of love.

As the night progressed, we moved inside for food and dancing (and an outfit change)! I always love getting to photograph the reception, everyone is so happy, stress is gone, and you can truly see how happy a bride and groom are together.

After the reception was over, Mary and Graham shared a kiss under a waterfall of streamers. They made their grand getaway in a beautiful vintage car to end the night. I loved being there to capture it all and serve my friends in the best way I know how. Congratulations, Mary and Graham! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!

xoxo,

Julie
